Our Story

We are located in Milton Freewater, Oregon

I grew up on an 60 acre ranch called the Diamond P Ranch, owned and ran by my grandpa “Pecos” Pete Brown. He bred, trained, and rode Latchet horses, but always had an interest in Biankus lines. He created a rodeo family, as my uncle Kevin ropes and back in the day rode rough stock and my mom Chris barrel raced, roped, goat tied you name it she did it as well as participated on several rodeo royalty courts. My grandpa sadly passed away in May 2010, but I still hear him yelling at me from the stands to “Look! Kick! kick!” whenever I run. Through him and my mom, I learned many things about horsemanship which sparked the passion I have today. My goal is to carry on his legacy and commitment to breeding high quality horses, a dream I have had since I was just learning to ride. I know he would be proud of me and the steps I have made to make this a reality, starting with my purchase of a 2016 Biankus and Fire Water flit sorrel stallion in 2023 Firen French Kuss.

Outside of breeding horses, I take in consignment horses to sell. I also go to horse sales and buy project horses to finish and sell to forever homes. I offer cold laser services, and have magna wave therapy in the works for the future.

I have a love for fast horses, and animals as a whole, as I also raise and sell Toy and Mini Aussies/ Mini Americans (Sparkling Cross Aussies).

All the horses I have raised and sold since 2023 will have my brand on their left front shoulder Diamond SR.

Introducing:

My name is Shaunte R. and I was born and raised in a small town Milton Freewater, Oregon or some say Umapine, Oregon about 30 minutes from the famous Pendleton Round up. “Let ‘R Buck!” I have been around and riding horses since before I was born. My mom barrel raced and team penned with me when she was pregnant, and by the time I was two I was riding in the rankest parade around, the Pendleton Westward Ho.

I have always had a passion and love for beautiful, fast horses ( I have a need for speed). I love to go to horse sales and learn new things in the horse world every day. I enjoy buying project horses that end up in flippers hands or passed around, so that I can put more time on them and fix any issues they might have to make them a horse anyone can enjoy riding so that they can have a second chance. I want those horses to be sold to someone who can love them and give them a great home. I also have no problem taking in consignment horses to resell, dealing with people and questions so that you don’t have to.

I have always been an active, goal driven person who is not scared to chase their dreams. In high school, I actively showed steers and pigs in FFA and in my spare time I played travel softball and Volleyball. I spent the majority of my time however with my horses. I barrel raced, was an officer for the Walla Walla Wagonettes drill team, team penning, ranch sorting, and carrying sponsor flags for the Walla Walla Fair and Frontier Days Rodeo. I graduated from WWCC with a degree in Accounting, Business management, and Office Assistant.

Breeding and working with horses is not all we do. In 2009, I started a small hobby business breeding Toy & Mini Aussies- Sparkling Cross Toy and Mini Aussies. This business really took off after a rough year of Doctors, specialists and Counselors for my son Hayden. He was diagnosed as having highly functional autism, ADHD, anxiety and depression. I soon after purchased our first stud Kip as his emotional support dog and they have been inseparable since. Hayden is a tremendous help with the puppies and dogs, as he loves to cuddle with them, read them stories, and sing to them. Though not much of a fan of horses, Hayden likes to fill his time on his dirt bike, playing football and baseball, and playing Xbox with his cousins and friends. Hayden would like to be a Farmer & Cattle Rancher when he grows up.

I am very fortunate to have a work from home job, and a hardworking support group consisting of family, a very dear friend and her girls who help tremendously with horses and dogs. I don’t know where I would be without you all, so thank you for all you do to help operations run smoothly!
